I am an Afghan journalist, writer, women’s rights advocate, and cultural activist and also a poet and fiction writer, I am active in various cultural fields.
I was born on May 6, 1989, in Kabul, Afghanistan, and graduated from Mashal Private University with a degree in Public Relations and Journalism in 2016.
Furthermore, I began my media career in 2006, working with TOLO TV and Arman Radio, followed by a project with USAID in 2007, and later joined Ariana TV and Ariana News, where I worked until 2016.

Throughout these years, I focused on giving voice to women, promoting cultural awareness, and highlighting the human dimension of journalism. Due to increasing threats against journalists, I continued my work remotely for some time, remaining committed to reporting and storytelling despite all challenges.
I am currently live in Istanbul, Turkey, where continue my professional journey with dedication to freedom of expression, culture, and equality. At present, I am collaborating with Paikan TV in the Cultural Programs Department, and I am also working in the Publishing Department of Afghanistan International. In addition, I serve as a freelance journalist with JHR (Journalist Human Rights) and Kochaka Press.
I received the Certificate of Appreciation from the Afghanistan Journalists’ Union.
I am active in the leadership of two cultural and social associations:
- Sokhan Cultural Association
- Refah and Hambastagi Association
I am an active member of the Kite-Runner Program, contributing to cultural and social initiatives.

I am deeply passionate about literature, writing, and culture, and I firmly believe that words and awareness can transform societies. My lifelong goal is to use my voice and pen to strengthen women’s voices and preserve the richness of Afghan culture and art.
In 2025, I had the honour of representing Afghanistan at the largest poetry festival, FeminİSTANBUL.

In my personal life, I am a mother of one son, who inspires me with hope and strength to continue my path, even through the most difficult times.
