Selsela Imamzada

Afghan Journalist from Mazar-e-Sharif

I am Selsela Imamzada, an Afghan journalist from Mazar-e-Sharif, who currently lives in Ankara, Turkey.

I was born in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan in 1995 and graduated from Maulana Jalaldin Muhammad Balkhi High School in 2011. In 2015, I received my bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Journalism.

 

 

 

Work Experiences

During my student life, I started working as an announcer on the radio of the university’s journalism faculty. Between 2012 and 2015, I worked as a reporter in Almas and Sama local televisions. In 2015, I started working as a news reporter and program host at ArianaNews. I worked in this media until 2018.

 

 

 

My Mission

During my work as a journalist, I dealt with important issues of human rights, problems of women, children and social problems.

 

 

 

Awards

During my work with Ariana News, I was selected as the best reporter of 2016 by the Afghan Alumni Association. In 2017, one of my reports has been selected as one of the top 8 humanitarian reports by the Office of Afghanistan Free Media Supporter.

 

 

 

Since 2022, I have been working as a broadcast and production manager, reporter and presenter at Alborz TV.
